7 Books All Moms Should Read!

7 Books all Moms should read!

There are some books that are so awesome you just need to share them with someone — and there are some books that teenagers or preteens or men or women will love. Yes, there are books mothers will love too.

There are some things that only mothers and daughters understand. Plus, being able to talk to your mom about books is pretty awesome. And with Mother's Day here, now might be a great time to get some mother-daughter book bonding going.

So if you're looking to share a read with her (or maybe looking for a gift idea!), here are 7 books your mother might enjoy.

The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan

Set in early 20th century Shanghai, The Valley of Amazement is about three generations of women, and, like much of Tan's work, the mother daughter relationships are central to the story. But it's also a compelling and gorgeous work of literary fiction that definitely makes a great gift for all kinds of other reasons.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Kh…

Billionaire romance and Bully romance. Cliché or not?

Billionaire romance and Bully romance

I think I have tried. Yes, I have. Oreoluwa Esosa Kolawole has tried her best to read and digest this genre. You know why? I'm usually not the type to ban a genre from my e-library.

Truth is, I have a genre I love and that is paranormal. But there are times I just want to read something romantic and I stumbled on this section of romance novels.

It's not the authors, but it's what is expected of them to write. Most of these stories start with the billionaire seeing the girl of his dreams and act like he's a jewel. Just tell her you like her and stop growling like a wolf 😕

Okay, let me pardon that aspect of romance.

What about the hate to love/ bully romance? Guy hates girl, girl is scared of guy, but deep down he has some feelings for her. It's always the same pattern with these stories.

They always terrify the girl: you are in highschool. Yes, we get it. Maybe you're a little bit to scared of standing up to your bully and…

Henry danger

Words can not explain how amazing this show is. Like for real. I look forward to watching it every freaking day! I love the characters, especially Henry. I really hope Henry and Charlotte date eventually that would make my life AMAZING!

Henry is fun and every single character in the series are also funny.

Piper: she's angry-funny. She screams like a spoilt brat and as much as I hate seeing her boss her brother and his friends around, I still like her.

Jasper: oh Lord, he's dumb-funny. He lets his friend's sister walk all over him and even when he knows the obvious thing to do, he still acts weird.

Charlotte: she is sarcastic-funny. Like is there any character in that series that isn't funny? Nope.

Captain man: Ha! He's really childish but I find his attitude very amusing. He's so competitive and thinks he's the hottest guy in swellview.

You should really start watching this series if you haven't…

Physical description in fiction writing (Face)

Physical description of a character can be difficult to convey—too much will slow the pace or feel stiff, and too little will prevent readers getting a clear mental image.

If your readers cannot imagine what your character looks like, they may have trouble connecting with them on a personal level, or caring about their plight.

Think about how they make their faces when they are happy, angry, sad or anxious. Think about your character's body language etc.

Let's start with face:

Descriptors: squished, square, oval, fleshy, fat, drawn, skeletal, baby-faced, wrinkled, freckled, acned, happy, sad.

Shape:

OVAL

The oval face shape is longer than wide, with a jaw that is narrower than the cheekbones. Because the oval shaped face is so proportional.

ROUND

The round face shape is characterized by a wide hairline and fullness below the cheekbones.

SQUARE

The square face shape is characterized by a wide hairline and jawline. The square shaped face need height on top and narrowness at the…
